Madeleine room
Madeleine
It’s the name of our grandmother, a true Auvergnat and soon to be a centenarian. Dedicating a room to her in this castle that she saw reborn was the obvious thing to do.
Located on the 2nd floor, accessible via the spiral staircase in the octagonal tower, this very intimate guest room is imbued with old-world charm. And you feel right at home in this cozy cocoon.
Spanning approximately 20 square meters, it is decorated with elegant Toile de Jouy wallpaper and houses an impressive library, soon to be traversed by a secret passage leading to an annex – to be transformed into a future family suite. A touch of mystery for dreamers of all ages.
A gramophone still in operation will allow you to appreciate period melodies, completing this delightful journey through time.
Its king-size bed awaits you for sweet and deep nights, accompanied by original, carefully preserved furniture.
As for its private, separate bathroom, it is located a few steps from the bedroom, at the end of the corridor, and occupies the oldest tower of the castle. With its 20 square meters, stone fireplace, original beams, and medieval ambiance, it is equipped with a very large shower, toilet, and original fixtures, thus blending modern comfort with authenticity. Through its tall windows, you have direct access to the former machicolations for an immersive… and unforgettable experience.
Continental breakfast will be served in the garden or in the dining room.
From its window, the Madeleine room offers you an unobstructed view of the Mars valley, to the peaceful rhythm of cowbells.
We look forward to welcoming you there.
